In the summer of 2009, the BVCA teamed up with IPSOS Mori, the independent market research company to conduct a survey as part of an investigation into the investing habits and views on sustainability issues of BVCA private equity and venture capital members.
The results of the survey are available to view here and offer an interesting basis for the BVCA and its Responsible Investment Advisory Board to consider the position of responsible investment within the private equity industry. Key findings show that three quarters of respondents consider sustainability to be an important issue for portfolio companies and half of them have their own guidelines or policies on responsible investment already in place.
