At the end of November, the BVCA's Annual Gala Dinner will return for its 26th successful year, bringing together the industry's most prominent leaders for an exclusive evening of networking, socialising and entertainment in the heart of London. We are delighted to announce that for our Annual Gala, all proceeds raised during the evening will be donated to the British Venture Foundation (BVF). The BVF has been created by the BVCA as an organisation through which the staff at the BVCA, members and supporters of the BVCA can engage in direct activity and make charitable contributions to other worthy causes in locations and sectors across the UK.

Brian Moore is one of the most famous England rugby players of
all time, winning a total of 64 England caps between 1987 and
1995. He played in three World Cups, won three Grand Slams (1991,
1992 and 1995), went on two British Lions tours and in 1991 was
voted Rugby World Player of the Year. Since retiring from rugby,
he has become a prolific commentator on sport, broadcasting for
the BBC and writing for The Daily Telegraph. He was nominated for
Sports Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2009.
Brian's activities have reached beyond the boundaries of rugby.
He practised as a solicitor for 17 years and has recently released
his second autobiography, Beware of the Dog: Rugby's Hardman
Reveals All, which won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year
Award in 2010. William Hill spokesman and co-founder of the prize,
Graham Sharpe, said: "As a trained solicitor and a lover of opera,
fine wine and Shakespeare, Brian Moore is no ordinary sportsman.
So it follows that this is no ordinary book. Candid and rigorous, it's
a uniquely engaging book and a fascinating exploration of what
lies beneath the tough exterior of one of England's greatest rugby
players".
The menu has been designed by Michelin-star chef Angela Hartnett.
