As uncertainty around the global recovery persists, are venture capitalists downbeat or optimistic about the new opportunities for investment? In conjunction with other Venture Capital Associations around the world, BVCA members recently participated in the 2010 Global Venture Capital Survey. Respondents expected traditional markets, such as the US and Europe, to contract, with emerging markets like China, India and Brazil expected to grow. The NVCA news release and slide pack present more detail on the survey results.
The responses of venture capitalists around the world were illuminating and in this survey, venture capital firms in the UK represent 9.5% of the total responses. This report was conducted by Deloitte in association with various National Venture Capital Associations around the world.
