The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association responds to the publication of Christopher Rowlands' independent review into the availability of growth capital to small and medium sized businesses.
Simon Walker, Chief Executive of the BVCA, said:
"We welcome the publication of Christopher Rowlands' review and are pleased that the review recognises the need for any new scheme to operate on a commercial basis.
It is also important that a new scheme complements the UK Innovation Investment Fund and does not crowd out existing providers of equity finance in this area.
We look forward to further detail in the Chancellor's PBR."
