An integral part of the BVCA’s mission is to promote diversity within our industry and support firms to build inclusive environments in which everyone can thrive. The Women’s Breakfast is an open platform for the promotion of women’s issues in our industry, sharing experiences and best practice, and providing networking with the UK's top private equity and venture capital practitioners and advisers. This event is open to both men and women.

Catherine Lewis La Torre, CEO, British Business Investments and British Patient Capital
Catherine joined British Business Investments as CEO in September 2016, and was appointed CEO of British Patient Capital in October 2018. Catherine joined the British Business Bank Group in 2016 when she was appointed CEO of British Business Investments, the Bank’s commercial arm engaged primarily in direct lending strategies. In 2018 Catherine took on the additional role as CEO of British Patient Capital, a commercial subsidiary with a £2.5bn mandate to make long term equity investments in high growth businesses in the UK. Catherine was previously Head of Private Equity at Cardano Risk Management where she was responsible for managing a global portfolio of private capital investments.
