Delaney Brown, Managing Director, Head of Funds & Secondaries, CPPIBDelaney Brown leads the team of over 40 professionals, across three offices in Toronto, London and San Francisco, responsible for investing in Funds & Secondaries in North America and Europe. The group pursues strategies ranging from mega buyouts to early stage venture capital plus both LP and GP-led secondaries. In addition the strategy also includes investing in passive co-investments alongside existing partners. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2013, he spent eight years at Hermes GPE LLP (formerly Hermes Private Equity) as Head of the Americas, focused on both private equity fund investment and co-investment. Before that, he was an Associate Director with Almeida Capital in London for five years and a Research Scientist for GlaxoSmithKline in the U.K. He is also the current chair of the BVCA’s LP Committee. Delaney holds a BSc (First Class Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.
Dana Haimoff, Managing Director, JP Morgan Asset Management
Dana Haimoff, Managing Director, Private Equity Portfolio Manager, Ms. Haimoff has over 28 years of private equity investment and advisory experience. She joined the Private Equity Group of JP Morgan Asset Management in May 2002 and is based in London. Dana is responsible for sourcing and leading private equity investments including fund commitments, co-investments and secondary opportunities on behalf of institutional clients. Dana is a director on the board of JP Morgan Asset Management International Ltd and JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Ltd and is responsible for the firm’s EMEA Alternatives as its Senior Manager Certificate Regime. Prior to JP Morgan, Dana spent seven years at Merrill Lynch’s investment bank in the Private Equity Placement Group. She is the co-Founder of Level20, a leading European organization set up to encourage women to succeed in the private equity industry. She is also a member of the British Venture Capital Association’s Limited Partner Committee. Dana attended Skidmore College and received her MBA from Columbia University.
Joana Rocha-Scaff, Managing Director, Neuberger BermanJoana Rocha Scaff is a Managing Director of Neuberger Berman, Head of Europe Private Equity and a member of the Co-Investment, Private Investment Portfolios and Secondary Investment Committees. Ms. Rocha Scaff has over 20 years of experience in financial markets, the majority of which in private equity investing and prior to that in investment banking. She has been with the firm since 2005. Prior to NB Private Equity, Ms. Rocha Scaff worked in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers, and prior to that at Citigroup Global Markets and Espirito Santo Investment. She advised on corporate transactions including M&A, financial restructurings and public equity and debt offerings in the United States, Europe and Brazil. Ms. Rocha Scaff received her M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and her B.A. in Business Management and Administration from the Universidade Catolica of Lisbon. Ms. Rocha Scaff is a member of the LP Committee of the BVCA – British Private Equity Association and a member of the Limited Partner Advisory Committee of multiple European private equity funds.
Charles Vernudachi, Managing Director, Providence Equity Partners
Charles Vernudachi is a managing director based in our London office, where he focuses on business development activities in Europe. Prior to joining Providence in 2014, Mr. Vernudachi was a managing director with Eaton Partners in London, where he oversaw the EMEA distribution of private equity funds and hedge funds. Previously, Mr. Vernudachi was a senior client executive with SEB in London where he was responsible for the distribution of alternative solutions in Europe. From 2007 to 2008, Mr Vernudachi co-founded a London based placement agent of alternative funds. Prior to that, Mr. Vernudachi was an executive director in the securities division of Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for the distribution of liquid and structured credit products. Mr. Vernudachi started his career with Natixis in Paris. Mr. Vernudachi received a Bachelor of Science from the University Paris Dauphine. He is a CAIA Charter Member and co-founder of the Paris chapter.
