A-Gas International picks up hatrick of business awards


John Rutley, the Chief Executive of A-Gas International, the Bristol-headquartered provider of specialist industrial gases and chemicals, has been named CEO of the Year in the South West by the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

In total A-Gas picked up three awards in the South West and Wales final of the BVCA Management Team Awards, produced in partnership with Clearwater Corporate Finance, which celebrates the achievements of companies backed by private equity and venture capital. A-Gas is backed by private equity house LDC.

The business also won Mid Market Management Team of the Year for the outstanding contribution the management team made to the growth of the business in 2012, and International Impact of the Year for its expansion into global markets.

All winners in the South West and Wales final will be automatically entered to the national finals, the winners of which will be announced at a ceremony in London on 4 July 2013.
