Amor Group double scoop at business awards

John Innes, the former chief of Amor Group, the Glasgow-headquartered IT business, has been named CEO of the Year for Scotland by the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

It was one of two prizes picked up by Amor as part of the BVCA Management Team Awards, produced in partnership with Grant Thornton, which is an annual celebration of the best and brightest UK businesses which are backed by private equity and venture capital.

Amor, which specializes in providing IT services to the energy, transport, and public services sectors, was acquired by Growth Capital Partners in May 2009 before its sale to Lockheed Martin in September 2013.

Amor was one of five winners in the Scotland final of the BVCA Management Team Awards. All now go on to contest the national finals, the results of which will be revealed at a ceremony in London on 18 June.
