Eveden Group wins two business awards
Tracy Lewis, Chief Executive of Desborough-based lingerie and swimwear designer Eveden Group, has been named CEO of the Year for the Midlands by the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA).
The Eveden Group won a second award in the Exit Management Team of the Year category, which recognises the achievements of the management teams of private equity and venture capital-backed companies that were sold by their private equity backers in 2012. LDC acquired Eveden in June 2006 and sold it last year in a £148m deal with Wacoal Holdings Corporation.
Eveden was one of two award winners from Northamptonshire, the other being Sight and Sound Technology, a Northampton-based provider of hardware and software to the blind, visually impaired and those with learning and reading difficulties. Sight and Sound, which is backed by Catapult, won Venture Capital-Backed Management Team of the Year.
The BVCA Management Team Awards, produced in partnership with Clearwater Corporate Finance, are a year-long process of nominations and judging established to celebrate the achievements of private equity and venture capital-backed companies.
All six winners of the Midlands round will be automatically entered to the national finals, the winners of which will be announced at a ceremony in London on 4 July 2013.

The Midlands has a proud pedigree of producing some of Britain's finest companies and all of this year's winners are a testament to this tradition. Private equity and venture capital are responsible for building and growing businesses, both in the Midlands and across the UK, and these awards are proof of the impact our industry is having on the nation's economy."
