Hugh Lennon becomes BVCA Chairman 2010/11

12 months ago Simon Havers marked the beginning of his BVCA chairmanship by identifying the "3 R's" that would dominate the agenda of his tenure: recession, recovery and regulation. We are sincerely grateful to Simon for his invaluable stewardship over the tumultuous past year as the BVCA has collectively and often successfully tackled these three significant preoccupations.

I am delighted to introduce Hugh Lenon who from today takes the reins as BVCA chairman. Hugh, a managing partner at Phoenix Equity Partners in London, has long been heavily involved in the work of the BVCA, having served both as chairman of the Investor Relations committee and as BVCA vice chairman for 2009/10. Welcoming Hugh to this role, I am pleased to point BVCA members towards a note from Hugh to the membership (available to download below) in which he outlines his targets for the year ahead.

Simon Walker, CEO, BVCA.
