Membership Manager


This full-time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for an experienced business development/client relationship individual with an interest in private equity and venture capital. Your primary responsibilities will be the execution of the Membership Engagement, Retention and Recruitment strategy, to meet and exceed membership revenue targets, and identify and pass on sales opportunities to the events and training teams. You will need to meet with existing and potential members as well as network with key stakeholders to represent the BVCA and its work, including at meetings, conferences, and events. In addition, you will support the coordination of members’ input into external stakeholder engagement and lead the BVCA’s regional engagement plan.

This role is central to the BVCA’s activities and on a day-to-day basis, you will need to work with the Membership, Commercial, Marketing, Events, and Training teams and with senior internal and external professionals. You will be managing the workload and development of the Membership Engagement team consisting of a Senior Executive and Executive.

Marketing and Design Executive


The BVCA is looking for a bright, proactive and technically skilled Marketing and Design Executive to join our team. This full-time role within the BVCA is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Design Executive to utilise the design skills that you have gained in your first role to work in our Marketing Team, supporting the Marketing Manager and Marketing and Design Senior Executive.

Senior Executive, Commercial Development


This full-time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for someone with strong account management skills as well as experience of sales and business development. The role is currently remote, but as we transition to some office-based working, the role will be based in London and may include some travel within the UK. Your responsibilities will be split between:

  • Event sponsorship: to provide support and assistance to sponsorship lead generation and sales. This will include sponsor relationship management, sponsor content and sponsor event deliverables.
  • Delegate sales: to manage and execute a sales strategy to maximise revenue across a suite of commercial events. This will run alongside a marketing strategy for each event.

Office Manager (Maternity cover)


The BVCA is looking for a motivated, proactive and skilled Office Manager to join our team. This full-time role within the BVCA is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office/Business Manager to work with the COO and Head of Finance managing the day to day running of the office and supporting our transition into new offices. There will be four main areas required in this role, consisting of office operations, governance and compliance, strategic initiatives and HR. The office manager will line manage the receptionist and office administrator as well as inputting into the budget for the operations department.

External Affairs Manager


This full-time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for an experienced Public Affairs Manager to work with the Director of External Affairs on public affairs strategies and advocacy to promote the interests of the BVCA and its members. This will include direct engagement with Government Departments, No.10, Ministers and advisers, Parliament, political parties, think tanks, key stakeholders in the business community, trade associations and other organisations and individuals in the UK and Europe. The Public Affairs Manager will work cross-functionally within the BVCA, particularly with other members of the External Affairs Department and the Policy Department; and they will work closely with the BVCA membership. They will play an active role in the development and delivery of the BVCA and industry narrative. And they will manage and oversee the work of the Public Affairs Executive.

Head of Membership

Policy Manager


This full-time permanent role will provide the successful applicant with a fantastic opportunity to build a detailed understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry, and to represent its interests to political and regulatory stakeholders, particularly following Brexit.

Experience working in the financial services industry is essential (three years plus); familiarity with a regulated industry is needed given the level of detail a successful applicant will have to deal with. A legal, accounting or technical policy background would be ideal for this role. Furthermore, a willingness and ability to learn quickly is key, as is the skill of managing projects the BVCA Regulatory Committee is working on.
