The BVCA Executive comprises a diverse range of staff unified in their aim to drive forward the industry and actively demonstrate its impact to the government, media, and the public at large and to reinforce the crucial role our industry plays in the global economy.
As a manager in the BVCA’s policy team, the successful applicant will be provided with a fantastic opportunity to build a detailed understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry, and to represent its interests on a wide range of issues and challenges to political and regulatory stakeholders. The role would also require you to lend technical support and manage other projects and activities related to the BVCA’s committees and broader policy agenda.
A good understanding of the tax environment specific to the industry is desirable, alongside a broad appreciation of the regulatory and legal environment. An applicant with experience in policymaking and a desire to learn about the venture capital and private equity industry would also find the role interesting. The core part of the role will be to manage the BVCA Tax Committee and the supporting subcommittees (that look after corporate and personal tax). The role also involves working closely with our Venture Capital Committee and associated policy work.

Experience working in the financial services industry is essential (three years plus); familiarity with a regulated industry is needed given the level of detail a successful applicant will have to deal with. A legal, accounting or technical policy background would be ideal for this role. Furthermore, a willingness and ability to learn quickly is key, as is the skill of managing projects the BVCA Regulatory Committee is working on.
This full-time permanent position within the BVCA is a key role for someone who has at least 2 years Marketing and internal Communications Management Experience in a Membership Association. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Director of Membership Services and ADG to lead the BVCA’s marketing and member communications activities.
This full-time permanent position within the BVCA is a key role for someone who has at least 3 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant to senior Management Teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and provide full and comprehensive organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the Director General and Senior Management Team (‘SMT’) of the BVCA. In addition to this you will be responsible for supervising the administration team of the BVCA by working with the appropriate teams to establish resource requirements across the organisation and supporting training and development needs across the admin team.
