This full time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for an experienced business development / client relationship individual with an interest in private equity and venture capital. The role is based in London and will include travel within the UK. Your primary responsibility will be to generate new sponsorship revenue and new members for the BVCA. Sponsorship sales will involve working across the BVCA’s events and publications and generating sales where there is a commercial opportunity, including the BVCA’s core events such as the Summit, High Growth, Gala Dinner and National Dinners. New membership sales will include managing a pipeline of potential new members, generating new membership sales, new member on-boarding and ensuring the BVCA has relevant collateral to promote membership benefits.

Your primary responsibilities will be to track and monitor the BVCA’s engagement with its 700 members, to identify where there are opportunities and needs to increase engagement with specific members, to devise and execute engagement plans, and to manage the BVCA’s regional engagement plan. The regional engagement plan will include ensuring that members are fully aware of BVCA regional activities, and executing a plan to support organisations with similar aims nationwide. Strong commercial awareness is required as your engagement will have a commercial impact.
This full time role within the BVCA is a great career start for recent graduates with a keen interest in supporting the policy work and strategy of a trade association. You will be responsible for the organisation of the BVCA Board meetings, minute taking and ensuring action points are completed to aid the progression of strategic policy initiatives. You will also support the Policy team’s Brexit-related communication and projects.
