This full time role within the BVCA is great for anyone with an interest in private equity, venture capital, and policy. The BVCA has a number of committees and advisory groups which support the BVCA’s activities. You will be responsible for administering committee meetings which encompasses everything from scheduling meetings in diaries, managing committee listings, compiling paperwork and minute taking at these meetings. Alongside this responsibility you will also be able to support the team on additional projects linked to the committees’ activities.
This full time role within the BVCA is an excellent career move for someone who has at least three years relevant event management experience, including line management responsibilities, and is now looking for the next step within their event management career. The role is based in central London but will include occasional travel within the UK and will require the candidate to be flexible with regards to working hours leading up to, and during, the events; usually outside of the normal 9am – 5.30pm working day. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Director, Events & Training, Event Manager and other senior members of the BVCA team to ensure the smooth delivery of the BVCA events programme.
This full time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for an experienced business development / client relationship individual with an interest in private equity and venture capital. The role is based in London and will include travel within the UK. Your primary responsibilities will be to track and monitor the BVCA’s engagement with its 700 members, to identify where there are opportunities and needs to increase engagement with specific members, to devise and execute engagement plans, and to manage the BVCA’s regional engagement plan. The regional engagement plan will include ensuring that members are fully aware of BVCA regional activities, and executing a plan to support organisations with similar aims nationwide. Strong commercial awareness is required as your engagement will have a commercial impact.
The role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders from across the private equity and venture capital industry and would be ideal for someone interested in beginning a career in research or in a financial trade body. This is a multi-faceted entry-level position which involves both research and statistical tasks, as well as some administrative duties. We are looking for candidates who are literate in data handling with an understanding of finance, an interest in the use of data in a public affairs context and excellent organisational and time management skills. Applications from candidates with a strong track record in quantitative research, statistical analysis or economics are particularly welcome.

You will be responsible for the organisation of the BVCA Board meetings, minute taking and ensuring action points are completed to aid the progression of strategic policy initiatives. You will also support the Policy team’s external communications and projects.
