Series A Forum

Overview

There has arguably never been a better time to be a UK-based entrepreneur. As of July 2019, we’ve seen more than £750 million in series A round investment in c.130 UK-headquartered companies alone (source: Dealroom.co). This adds up to an excellent environment for entrepreneurs to raise finance to scale.

Alongside our supporting partners, The UK Business Angels Association, Price Bailey and TLT LLP, we’ll be bringing together top-tier investors from across the angel and venture community and some of the most exciting and innovative UK entrepreneurial businesses in the process of scaling-up.

This forum will take attendees through the current landscape of Series A investing, and give those founders seeking a first institutional raise the tools required to push forward effectively on this journey. Hear from both experienced VC investors and founders on topics such as term sheet negotiations, the journey from angel to Series A, and how to stop chasing capital and start attracting it. The event will also play host to two pitch battles, aimed at both VCs and start-ups.
