First-Time Fundraising Workshop

Overview

The BVCA annual First-Time Fundraising Workshop is an important initiative within our calendar to help foster and support the future leaders of our industry, specific sectors’ attractiveness, characteristics, rate of growth and the outlook for private equity and venture capital appetite. The workshop is designed for GPs raising a maiden fund and not for individuals within firms which have raised consecutive funds.

Given changes in the industry and its continuing evolution, many teams are entering unknown territory. Whether you've spun out a captive fund that is now seeking third-party investors or you're setting up your own operation, this valuable and timely workshop will help you:

  • Learn from the experience of other first-time fundraisers
  • Deal structuring and investment returns

Ensure you are fully informed on matters relating to:

  • The fundraising process
  • Management entity structure
  • Carried interest and co-investment schemes
  • Fund structuring
  • Fund domicile
  • Regulation
  • Meeting the specific needs and objectives of LPs
