Kevin Burke, Director, Globalization Partners
Kevin is an experienced business developer with a strong background in building relationships and sales strategy, partnering with leaders to provide business transformation. Kevin has extensive experience across multiple industries including Private Equity, Venture Capital, Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Consumer Products. At Globalization Partners, Kevin leads the Global M&A/PE/VC business solutions channel, focusing on helping firms and their portfolio companies shape their global workforce strategies while driving growth and value.
Nicole Forbes, Deputy General Counsel, Globalization Partners
Nicole is an expert in international employment law and legal compliance issues for Globalization Partners’ international entities. At Globalization Partners, Nicole focuses on finding compliant solutions to complex international employment law issues including terminations, contract negotiations, local policy compliance, and legal assessments of business transfers. Prior to joining Globalization Partners, Ms. Forbes was in private practice at a number of law firms in Boston, Massachusetts, focusing on employment law and litigation and business/commercial litigation.
Ben Kirby, Director, True Capital
Ben is Head of PE at retail and consumer sector specialist investor True. He sits on the investment committees for the True PE and Growth funds. He is a board member of True’s investee companies Frugi and Hush. Prior to True, Ben was an investor in the London team at BGF leading investments into both private and listed businesses. He has also worked within the private equity teams at Greenhill, Goldman Sachs and Octopus Ventures.
Gurpreet Manku, Deputy Director General, BVCA (moderator)
Gurpreet is the BVCA’s Deputy Director General and Director of Policy. She is responsible for leading the BVCA’s response to a wide range of issues and challenges facing the industry from a legal and regulatory perspective, both in the UK and Europe. She is also the executive liaison to the Private Equity Reporting Group, the body responsible for monitoring the industry’s compliance with the Walker Guidelines on Transparency and Disclosure. Before joining the BVCA she worked at Deloitte LLP and specialised in advising private equity funds and their managers. Gurpreet studied at the London School of Economics and is a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Henry Sallitt, Partner and co-founder, FPE Capital
Henry is joint Managing Partner and co-founder of FPE Capital. He is passionate about building businesses and has spent all his career with growth companies both as an investor and as an operator. Prior to FPE Capital he was a Director of Quester, one of the largest growth capital investors in the UK. This followed eight years at AFA Systems, a financial services software company which he co-founded and joined full-time immediately prior to its IPO in 1996. From its foundation, Henry was part of a small team that drove the development of the group, both organically and by acquisition, resulting in an 8-fold increase in revenues. He returned to private equity, following the sale of AFA in 2004 to a trade buyer.
Outside the office, Henry has a large competitive family who keep him on his toes. He is rarely happier than when with them all on the south coast of Cornwall.
Adrian Yurwick, Partner, Silverfleet
Adrian is a Partner in the London office where he is responsible for the firm’s investment activities in the business & financial services sectors as well as investment activity in the UK and Benelux regions.
Since joining Silverfleet in 2005, Adrian has been involved in numerous transactions including Lifetime Training and Prefere Resins, where he holds board positions, and was previously on the board of Aesica Pharmaceuticals, an investment he led to a successful exit in 2014.
With a degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, Adrian started his career in the corporate restructuring department of PwC where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has a breadth of experience in private equity, having worked at 3i, UBS Capital, and Phoenix Equity Partners, before joining Silverfleet.
