Overview

Controlling access to inside information & the Takeover Panel's observations about strategic leaks

Join us for an interactive webinar session on 18 July, where we will bring together representatives from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Takeover Panel.

The webinar will discuss survey results of how PE firms manage the confidentiality of inside information relating to public-to-private transactions, the scale of insider dealing the FCA sees in such deals, and how leaks to insider traders might be reduced. It will also delve into the Takeover Panel's perspective on recent leaks regarding takeovers and possible takeover transactions.

Speakers

Paul Stocks, Technical Expert, FCA

After 20 years working in equity derivatives Paul Stocks joined the Enforcement and Market Oversight division in 2010. He is focused on causing disruption to those intent on market abuse.


Charlie Crawshay, Deputy Director General, Takeover Panel

Charlie Crawshay has been a permanent member of staff at the Takeover Panel since 2001, and was appointed as a Deputy Director General in 2009. Previously he worked as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Travers Smith.
