Shaping policy and the implementation of policy to ensure it accommodates the needs of the British venture capital and private equity community.

Communicating with the BVCA's members on accounting, reporting and governance matters which affect them, their investors and portfolio.

Raising the profile of the industry and its concerns with regulators, influencers and other key industry bodies.

The BVCA Governance Handbook provides directors, members and employees of the BVCA with a summary of our governance structure. This includes information on how our Council, Committees and Advisory Groups are constituted and is supplementary to the Articles of Association.

Activities

Producing technical bulletins and keeping members abreast of important accounting, reporting and governance issues.

Responding to Government on technical consultations when they arise.

Maintaining dialogue with the relevant professional bodies so that points of concern can be rapidly addressed.
