This event marks the launch of the latest edition of the BVCA’s Performance Measurement Survey Report. Produced in association with PwC, the report sets out the findings from the annual performance measurement survey undertaken by the BVCA. The study collates data from BVCA members who invest from the UK and tracks the returns earned for investors over time.
In this session, we will delve into a discussion of the survey results, the implications for investors and the wider industry and a forward look to how returns may be impacted by the current economic and political environment.

Head of Research, BVCA
Suzi leads the Research team at the BVCA ensuring that the organisation is at the forefront of crucial analysis of trends and issues surrounding venture capital and private equity and the impact of the industry on the economy.
Suzi previously spent over 15 years at PwC in a variety of roles including Valuations, Pensions and Consulting. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and hold a degree in Economics from the University of Warwick.
Investor Relations Partner, ECI
Jeremy Lytle is responsible for ECI’s investors across their current buyout funds, and prospective institutional investors for the future.
Over the past 17 years Jeremy has led the past four ECI buyout fundraisings, and including several co-investments, has raised a total value of over £3 billion of commitments.
Jeremy is part of the BVCA’s Performance Measurement Survey Review Board and formerly served on both the Investor Relations Advisory Group and as Chair of the BVCA’s Responsible Investment Advisory Group. He is passionate about ESG and ensuring it is at the forefront of the private equity industry. He spends a lot of time thinking about how ECI can promote initiatives both internally and in the wider market.
Private Equity Funds Leader, PwC
Richard is a partner within PwC’s Asset Management audit practice and has more than twenty five years’ experience working with a number of traditional and alternative asset managers. He is the lead audit partner for a number of those managers and their fund products, both listed companies and private limited partnerships. He also has experience of working with private equity houses on reviewing carried interest models, advising on the accounting implications of Limited Partnership Agreements, controls reporting, track record assurance and as reporting accountants for IPOs.
Aside from a secondment to PwC’s Boston office, Richard has spent the majority of his working career in London, but works closely with colleagues in the US, Ireland and Luxembourg on global clients. Richard is also a member of the BVCA Accounting, Reporting and Governance Committee. Richard is a qualified chartered accountant and has a first class degree in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
BVCA Chair 2024-26 and Senior Advisor, Cinven
Matthew Sabben-Clare is a Senior Advisor to Cinven. Previously, Matthew was Head of Cinven’s Capital Markets team and Chief Administrative Officer.
He was previously at Merrill Lynch in Leveraged Finance. Prior to this he worked in the Financing & Structured Products Division at J. Henry Schroder & Co. He graduated from Cambridge University and is AMCT-qualified.
Partner, Inflexion
Richard is a Partner at Inflexion and Chairs Inflexion’s Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Realisation Committee.
Richard joined Inflexion in 2008 and has since been involved in many of Inflexion’s current and previous investments.
Outside of Inflexion, Richard is passionate about the role education plays in society, and is a member of the Council of the University of Birmingham. Richard also sits on the Board of The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.
Richard has a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham and an MBA from the University of Warwick, and was previously a partner with Deloitte and its predecessor firm Arthur Andersen.
