Bringing the private capital community together: Explore the BVCA events programme for 2023/24

In their recently released 2023 Event Trends Report, Eventbrite found that 60% of those surveyed planned to attend more events in 2023 than in 2022. With pandemic restrictions now a fading memory, there is a huge appetite for in-person events. The BVCA’s busy schedule of events for 2023/24 will provide vital opportunities to bring the private capital community together to exchange ideas, learn from industry experts, and connect with new and old contacts.
We’re delighted to publish our newly released 2023/24 events sponsorship brochure, outlining our programme of conferences, receptions, dinners and more, across the next 12 months. We’ll see the return of some of our most popular events, including next month’s High Growth conference.
On 27 June, High Growth 2023: Trailblazers - Building the Innovation Nation will bring together 450+ senior business leaders, innovative entrepreneurs and experienced angel, venture and growth capital investors. Taking place for the first time across a single day, to allow for maximum networking opportunities, the agenda will explore key trends and issues across three streams - Seed, Series A, and Growth Capital.
During the full-day Growth Capital stream, speakers from BGF, Apax Digital and Cordovan Capital Management will discuss ‘Making Britain a growth superpower: scaling the companies of the future’. The ever-pertinent topic of ESG will be explored during the panel ‘Growth in the age of ESG: what’s changing?’, while speakers from White Horse Capital, Beringea and Frog Capital will share their insights on creating growth in a challenging environment. During the Seed stream, we’re looking forward to our panel ‘Spin out city – from university to unicorn’ examining the government’s spinout review. In an unmissable fireside chat, Dame Kate Bingham and Dr Ilan Gur, CEO, ARIA will discuss how to amplify the UK’s research ecosystem.
Over in the Series A stream, we will look at the future for venture debt, while our session on dealmaking will examine the recently relaunched VC model documents and the dealmaking environment for VCs and founders.
