Vision 2024

Leaders Driving Growth

Vision 2024 celebrates the best teams of 2023 backed by private equity and venture capital, awarding portfolio companies and their investors.

These annual awards take into account growth, competitiveness, innovation, ESG and the challenges of the year, with a focus on the future and the sustainability of the business as well as past performance. In addition to the portfolio companies, Vision 2024 will also see GPs receive an award to recognise the incredible support our members provide to their investee companies.

Vision 2024 is an evolution of our Management Team Awards, which existed for over a decade, and briefly evolved into “Adapting with Purpose” in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Supported by our headline sponsor Grant Thornton and supporting sponsor Santander, our initiative applauds the extraordinary companies that show vision, and the lasting value that the investment and support of their investors brought in 2023.

Award process

The themes for recognition include:
  • How companies remained competitive
  • How growth was achieved
  • Demonstrable innovation or agility
  • ESG commitment and progress
Each business will be awarded for its work across all four of the recognition themes, flagging distinct areas in which each company has excelled. This initiative will compile the stories that cast a spotlight on those management teams who have shone and deserve to be rewarded with the highest acknowledgement.

Companies recognised with awards will be announced at the BVCA’s National Dinners and Main Summit Conference, with the final national list announced at the Gala Dinner in December 2024. This list will consist of 15 companies, including four receiving a national award.

Management teams will have the opportunity to share their work and recognition with supporting marketing assets provided by the BVCA.

Awards will be received by companies at different investment stages: early-stage, scale-up, medium and large.

The period judged is the 2023 calendar year and we are looking for the impact of investment and hands-on involvement coming to fruition. Investment is therefore very likely to have been received in the years prior to 2023.

Submissions for Vision 2024 closed on 12 September 2024. If you have any questions, please contact Denise Typl, Senior Manager, Industry Development, Membership on dtypl@bvca.co.uk.
