Emails impersonating the BVCA

Please be aware of phishing emails that have been in circulation impersonating the BVCA Chair, Matthew Sabben-Clare.

We want to bring to your attention a phishing attempt that has been reported by several members. The email in question falsely claims to be from BVCA Chair, Matthew Sabben-Clare, but is actually sent from '[email protected]' or a similar Gmail address.

Please be reminded that all legitimate BVCA communications will come from a '@bvca.co.uk' or '@bvca-email.co.uk' email address.

As this message originates from an external domain, we are unable to intervene directly, but we strongly encourage you to remain cautious.

If you come across this email, please take the following steps:

• Do not respond or engage with any links or attachments.
• Report it immediately to your internal IT or cybersecurity team.
